OHAYASHI BAND's "ENYAH" is a song inspired by the chant "Enya," which echoes during the traditional Ise event known as "Miki-hiki." This duo-comprising accobin, former bassist of Chatmonchy, and Ise-based singer-songwriter Jun Renon-weaves together the fervor of the festival, prayers, the culture rooted in the region's Shikinen Sengu ritual, and the bonds between people into a contemporary pop song.
This song brings together the energy and music of Tokushima's Awa region and Mie's Ise region, connecting people across generations and regions. It transforms the resonance of tradition into a new form of musical expression, delivering the power and joy of Japan's festival culture to the world.
A performance is scheduled for November 2, 2026, as part of a dedication concert at Sarutahiko Shrine. On the following day, November 3, they are scheduled to appear at the "3rd Ise Okage Kiraku Festival" held in Ise's Okage Yokocho, where they will perform the song live. Video footage and related content from the dedication concert and event performances are scheduled to be released through various media outlets.
Music born from festival chants connects the land and its people, as well as the past and the future. A song brimming with the energy of prayer and celebration, brought to you by OHAYASHI BAND.
